After you choose a viewpoint, you have to stick to it. When writing short books, such as board books or picture books, you definitely need to stay with one POV. Don’t change the POV in books this short.

If you’re writing a relatively long book that has chapters, you may choose to write one chapter from one character’s POV and the next from another’s POV, like Natalie Babbitt does in Tuck Everlasting (Farrar, Straus & Giroux Books for Young Readers). However you choose to organize the narrative, don’t change POV within a scene or chapter. And be consistent; if you choose to alternate POV in every other chapter, stick to the rhythm and don’t deviate.
